E.P.F

E.P.F Stands for Elite Penguin Force

EDIT: I will be uploading clearer pictures. For now, please manage with the crap ones. :(

Here you can find out about the hit Club Penguin game – Elite Penguin Force

Notes:

I own the legal copy. I bought it online a while back and it arrived about 4 weeks later, as it was an import from the US.

This page is for those who don’t own the game, but want to see how it is.

While you scroll down this page and read it, Along the way, you’ll find useful videos and tips. (Tips are handy if you own the game.)

PLEASE DO NOT COPY AND PASTE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION ONTO YOUR BLOG. NOT ONLY WILL YOU BE ‘CHEATING’ ON YOUR VIEWERS, BUT YOU WILL PROVE THAT YOU ARE JUST PLAIN LAZY. JUST LINK YOUR VIEWERS TO THIS PAGE!

WHAT EPF IS ABOUT & WHERE TO BUY IT

To play Elite Penguin Force, you will need a Nintendo DS. The original or the Lite.

Nintendo DS Logo

The Nintendo DS Lite is widely available from many toy stores and superstores. Costing a mear £100! (Unsure of the Dollar currency)

Extremely worth it for the wide spread of games, increasing all the time. Certainly a hand-held console that wont go out of fashion yet.

You can buy the game from ALL Disney Stores across the USA and in most Toys ‘R’ Us stores, and from 29th February 2009, you’ll be able to buy it in the UK.

http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3261292

If you prefer to buy it online, you may find it easier to shop on Amazon or eBay. (Parent/Guardian required)

The game comes with a unique code which when redeemed online on the Club Penguin website, will unlock 3 things.

1. 1,500 coins
2. A Certificate
3. Spy Gadget teleport to Command Room

There are a total of 12 missions and an extra mission just for fun.

Every so often, the Director will higher your rank and award you with a new pin/badge!

ASPECTS

When you buy your Nintendo DS, when you set it up, it will ask you to enter the date and time.

Elite Penguin Force takes this information and changes the settings and theme for the WHOLE  game! So in December, it may have a Christmas theme. In October a Halloween theme and so on.

Another great thing about the game is that you don’t have to keep using your stylus.

In some parts, you need to use the snow trekker -

SnowTrekker

 - to go through the wilderness or something. When you go onto the water, you need to BLOW into the microphone for the sails to fill with wind!

You also need to blow into the microphone when you want to call a Puffle to you.

GAMEPLAY

The graphics of the game are not perfect but what do you expect for the DS?!

When you first load up the cartridge into your DS you will be able to choose a name for your penguin.

Through out the game, any one you talk to, will call you by this name!

This is a good feature. It’s better than it called you “Agent” all the time.

The first menu that you will see whenever you want to play EPF is this one;

Main Menu

From here, you can choose to start E.P.F or go online to DGamer (Disney Gamer)

When you choose to start E.P.F, you’ll see this menu;

Second Menu

If you can’t read what it says then follow this -

Missions | Multiplayer
Mini Games | Upload/Download

The Missions option will allow you to continue your adventure of Missions. The minigames are fun and are the fastest way to earn coins, which can then be uploaded to your online penguin account with the Upload button.

Here is a video of myself playing the Elite Penguin Force Mini Games.

NOTE! This it not the game iteself, but small games that get you coins.

That is the mini games. They are the quickest way to earn coins. But it also depends on Skill.

The Music on the whole game is outstanding. There is new music that you won’t have heard on Club Penguin.

It’s different from the real Club Penguin game and when the dojo has a remix type of music!

Wanna hear the music for your self? Watch this video here, or click it to watch it on YouTube in HD!

I recorded that off my DS and then edited it bit. Sounds pretty awesome any day ;)

REVIEW & RATING

At the begining of the game, you are tested. When you pass this test, you become a member of the Elite Penguin Force!

You are able to train with 7 puffles. The puffles will be helpful throughout the entire game and you can call them by tapping on the whistle in the right hand corner and then blowing to call the selected puffle.

The story follows through the game. So one minute you could be helping G and G will wont forget you’ve helped him.

Each time you help someone, you’ll get a postcard that reads “Thank You!” but you wont be able to keep this. Many penguins will show their gratfullness by giving you a item of clothing. Most of the time you’ll need to wear it.

Other times, penguins will giveyou 1 coin. Yes one coin. But in the end, it all adds up.

You can spend these coins at the Gift Shop or Sports Shop on items of clothing to make your penguin stand out!

When connected to Nintendo Wifi, you can download updates that will update the catalogues occationally.

Through Nintendo Wifi, you can take Polls and download NEW missions and the newsletter!

Unfortunatly, I can’t seem to get mine connected with Nintendo WiFi :(

This game is worth buying!

If you own a Nintendo DS, it is worth making an investment in purchasing this game.

RATING:

Gameplay: 8:10

Could have been better! But it was awesome anyway.

Aspects: 9/10

Awesome Aspects! I have yet to see a game that uses the microphone this game did. Technology is awesome.

Story: 9/10

Story was terrific! But it was a little short.

OVERALL RATING

Overall, I’d rate the game;

9 out of 10

Worth Buying.

Do you own Elite Penguin Force?

13. crusher916 - January 2, 2009

listen for those of you who cant connect to wifi! @ reasons that I know of! 1 is the same of what oilersmith said, firewall or antivirus, and 2 is that you probable dont have your wifi even set up! If you dont, your ds wont no where to connect to, and if it does work, than the server might not support nintendo ds. If your comp. is really old, than it might not work. Anyway, thats all the reasons I know of.

So my rating is 8/10 I liked it, but it was way to short.
oh, and, TheUknown – December 30, 2008

hey can i ask a question???? umm i was wondering how u beat club penguin epf i finished it but it says i have 74 percent
Thats because you havent bought everything or havent finished any of the little extra missions you see around the island.

HOPE THIS HELPS, AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

P.S. I got a membership for Christmas! ;)

20. Sirben 2 - January 30, 2009

No use for me

21. cartsurfer09 - February 8, 2009

Hey, its a gr8 game, I have it! the most likely reason you cannot connect to wifi is not your firewall or antivirus, but because of this:

Wifi has diffrent encryption (password) settings, on your home network you have 3:

() No Encryption/Password (Unsecure)
() WEP Encryption/Password (Secure)
() WPA Encrytpion/Password (Very Secure)

The Nintendo DS only supports Unsecure or WEP encrypted networks, therefore anyone with a Very secure network cant connect to the WiFi. 2 Easy ways to fix this:

1. Either ask your mum/dad or do this yourself: Ask them to change the encryption to WEP for 10 or so minutes while you use the wifi connection, then when you have finished just change it back.

2. Buy a DSi from the US (putting you back around £150-200.)

Sorry I have written a whole blog post in a comment, All this information, and info on the DSi (Upgrade of the DS) is avaliable n my blog:
